“Raised in the Sipp,” powered by the Women’s Foundation of Mississippi, is a podcast hosted by comedienne, musician, and Mississippi native Rita Brent. On the heels of the historic flag change in Mississippi, Musician-Comedienne - Influencer, Rita Brent, presents "Raised in the Sipp," filmed inside the state-of-the-art, Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. The Jackson, MS - based, awe-inspiring institution features striking exhibitions of the Civil Rights Movement, highlighting countless activists who fought for justice and equality. In the song, Brent details her race-related childhood experiences, reflects on Mississippi's civil rights history and icons, while expressing hope for her home state's future.
